Kenji Ikegami, who ventures into the mountains to harvest madake bamboo and crafts his own shakuhachi, expresses his current artistic vision in this work."

『尺八とストリングスが織り成す虚無の世界』
自然を通し自己と対峙する「禅」の思想を色濃く反映したイケガミケンジの音楽は、尺八とストリングスのみによって生み出される、限りなく無駄をそぎ落としたモダンミュージックであり、過度に欲を満たした現代に異を唱えるレヴェル・ミュージックでもある。また、古典を踏襲しながらも、PCと竹一本で数々のクラブや野外イヴェントを渡り歩いてきたそのスタンスは、僧侶でありながら有髪、腰に刀と尺八を帯し各地を行脚していたと言われる、江戸時代におけるリアルな虚無僧の存在ともリンクする。日本人の心の奥の遠い記憶に訴えかけるような尺八の響きを、最大限に生かすべく構成された音の飛礫（つぶて）たちは、私たちの生活の中にある時間軸に共鳴し、またそこから新しい何かを生み出すヒントを与えてくれるだろう。
"A World of Emptiness Woven by Shakuhachi and Strings"
Kenji Ikegami's music, deeply reflecting the Zen philosophy of self-confrontation through nature, is a form of modern music stripped of all excess, created solely with shakuhachi and strings. It is also a kind of "rebel music" that challenges the greed-driven modern world.
While rooted in tradition, Ikegami's approach of traveling through clubs and outdoor events with nothing but a PC and a single bamboo flute resonates with the spirit of the Edo-period komusō monks, who wandered the land with a shakuhachi and a sword at their waist, despite being monks with hair.
The sound fragments, carefully composed to maximize the raw and haunting resonance of the shakuhachi, strike a deep chord within the collective memory of the Japanese soul. These sounds will not only resonate with the rhythms of our daily lives but also offer hints for discovering something new.
